Samson Mayor Thanks City of Dothan
Samson Mayor Clay King made a special appearance at the Dothan City Commission meeting today to thank the City for its help during the march 10th deadly shooting in Geneva County.

Samson Mayor Clay King made a special appearance at the Dothan City Commission meeting today to thank the City for its help during the march 10th deadly shooting in Geneva County.
The Dothan Police Department assisted Samson police and the Geneva County Sheriff's Office at the time of the shooting, and also helped law enforcement cover the area during the funerals.
Mayor King presented a metal and plaque to Police Chief John Powell.
"Any need that we had," Chief John Powell said. "You let me know". There were even times when I would ask him- 'Chief can you do this?' he would say 'I've already got that covered'. You don't know how good of a feeling it is to know 50 miles east of you, you have a city like Dothan who truly cares about their neighbors" said Mayor King.
Dothan was among several area law enforcement agencies to respond to the shooting spree two months ago.
