While Dothan may be getting ready for the Peanut Festival, one Wiregrass city is gearing up for their annual Peanut Butter Festival.

To celebrate the heritage in the peanut butter industry, the city of Brundidge is getting ready to carry on that memory.

The event will include musical entertainment, crafts, a 5k run and other games and contests.

“The purpose of it is to remind people of those days, like the wagon you see behind me. We'll have peanuts stacked here. Things like that to remind people of those kind of days,” says Lawerence Bowden, President of the Brudidge Historical Society.

The city will kick off their annual one-day festival tomorrow at 8:30 a.m., and will wrap things up with the Nutter Butter parade at 1 p.m.
