A Daleville felon, who has been on the run, is now behind bars.
The Dale County circuit court found 43-year-old Anthony Baggett of Daleville guilty of manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Baggett failed to show up for his sentencing hearing May 25th.
He was sentenced to life in prison.
Daleville Police received an anonymous tip saying Baggett was hiding in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.
“It's just a big relief that we got him now, for the simple fact that he had a life sentence and as you know, someone on the streets that has a life sentence has nothing to lose. We were looking to get him back and back into custody,” says Lt. Gerald Ganous.
Baggett is now waiting extradition back to Alabama.
