The crowd outside the Alabama Judicial Building grew to over a thousand on Thursday, but suspended Chief Justice Roy Moore was not in attendance. The noon rally featured prominent Christian evangelist James Dobson, but the suspended justice stayed away.

Moore told reporters that he does not want people to begin making him the cause. He said the issue people should focus on is the public acknowledgement of God by displaying the Ten Commandments monument in the rotunda.
