Panhandle Police Investigate Confrontation

Authorities in one northwest Florida city are reminding homeowners to keep their doors and windows locked at night. Earlier this week, a 20-year-old Marianna woman stepped out of the back door of her home and was confronted by a man hiding in the bushes near her bedroom window. The man ran down the road after she screamed. The man was described as wearing a white pullover mask with holes for the eyes and mouth. Police say they may have a 'peeping tom' on their hands.

At this time, police do not believe the suspect in the incident to be the man who held up a pizza delivery driver on Tuesday night. That incident happened in the parking lot of Domino's Pizza in Marianna. However, anyone with information about either of the two crimes may contact the Marianna Police Department at (850) 526-5000.
