Enterprise City employees are calling it the "Pumpkin Patch."

They are talking about the huge mound of bright orange bags filled with recyclable materials.

The Enterprise Recycling Program is only in its second month and Bill Shelton, Public Works Director said the program is already a big success. He estimates that 45 to 50 percent of the city population is recycling.

So far, Shelton estimates recycling has reduced the amount of garbage going to the landfill by 600 tons.

That translates into a savings of more than $10,000 in landfill fees for Enterprise.
