Gov. Riley's acting Medicaid commissioner is stepping down to return to his old job as the agency's Chief Financial Officer.
Mike Lewis has resigned as acting commissioner, effective Nov. 21.
The governor's chief of staff, Toby Roth, says a search will begin immediately for a replacement. Roth says Lewis will continue to play an important role as Chief Financial Officer for the health care agency.
