Okaloosa County authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Wednesday night.
Authorities say 22-year-old Demetris Levon Rudolph of Fort Walton Beach was shot by an assailant who approached on foot, then fled the scene in a blue van driven by another person.
Rudolph was pronounced dead a short time later after being taken to a local hospital.
