A capital murder suspect in Dothan gave jurors a step-by-step description of how an elderly Wicksburg woman was killed more than three years ago.
James Earl Walker is accused in the January 2000 home-invasion robbery and shooting death of 87-year-old Bessie Lee Thweatt.
Walker was arrested about six months later and returned to the murder scene to give investigators a video-taped statement explaining how the crime was committed.
Jurors saw that statement Wednesday.
Walker claims he never entered the home, but stayed outside to keep watch while co-defendant Rex Allen Beckworth smashed a window and climbed into the house.
Beckworth has already been convicted and sentenced to die. Testimony in Walker's case continues Thursday.
