Here is a yummy treat for art enthusiasts: Food Artist Lori Johnson put on finishing touches on her edible "Santa Maria", getting ready for Troy University's Edible Art Exhibit Fundraiser.

Johnson's artwork, like all others that will be on display Monday night, are prepared in an artistic manner for the public to view, then sample.

"I was thinking gingerbread would probably be a really good construction and art material to use. The ‘Santa Maria’ would be fun because I’ve heard of gingerbread houses, but not a lot of gingerbread boats" says Johnson.

The exhibit is a fundraiser for the Troy Arts Council.

Everyone who attends Monday night’s showing will be able to sample the works themselves.

In addition to the food, the Jazz Ensemble and the Collegiate Show Choir will provide wine and entertainment.
