In July, News 4 first told you about Daleville losing one of its three wells which has put a strain on its water supply.

Now officials say that well should be back online in a few days.

The well had reached levels too low for the system to pump.

A new well has been installed that reaches 10 feet deeper, giving the city a few more years before the well is completely dry.

"This well was drilled in 1961 and it's dropped 87 feet since 1961. That's almost a two feet a year that the water table is dropping. I'll say again, this is the reason we need a water reservoir. All the cities and counties need this water reservoir," says Daleville Mayor, Wess Etheredge.

The city will remain on the odd-even watering schedule.
