If you've been to the downtown post office, then you may have noticed the facility is getting old.
City Manager Dennis Rubin says keeping the building up and running is taking a bite out of Dothan's budget.
The post office rents the building from the city.
Rubin says over the last decade, Dothan residents have shelled out more than a half million dollars to repair the place.
That's $44,000 more than the post office paid to use the facility.
Rubin says city leaders are looking at several ways to cut their losses, like selling it or raising the rent.
