During an informal meeting Sunday at the Atlanta Bread Company, Dothan City Manager Dennis Rubin met with city employees to announce his acceptance of Atlanta's fire chief position.
Rubin has served as Dothan city manager since July of last year.
Rubin's last day as city manager is Nov. 28. He will assume Atlanta's fire chief position on Dec. 1.
