A shooting incident in Dothan left a Florida man wounded Wednesday morning.
The violence erupted around 7 a.m. near the intersection of South Appletree and Ussery Streets.
Police said a man and a woman were traveling in a pickup truck when they got into an argument.
Fifty-six-year-old Hubert Lee Prather of Cottondale was shot in the leg with his own .38 caliber pistol.
Thirty-four-year-old Sharon Stapleton of Dothan claims she acted in self-defense. Police say the gun apparently went-off during a struggle over the weapon.
No charges have been filed in connection with the incident, but the investigation is continuing.
