A Slocomb man has been arrested for sodomizing a child.
Twenty-one-year-old Dewayne William Bateman is charged with one count of first-degree sodomy.
Bateman is in the Geneva County Jail on $25,000 bond.
The Slocomb Police Department along with the Department of Human Resources are investigating the case. The victim is a five-year-old child.
