Human Skeleton Update

Dothan Police have come up with evidence that could help identify an apparent murder victim.

A badly decomposed human skeleton was found off John D. Odom Road late Monday afternoon.

The bones were scattered over a wide area and had apparently been there for several days.

Investigators spent all day Tuesday at the site.

A pair of shoes that may have belonged to the victim were recovered and could help identify the body.

Dothan Police say they've finished their on-site work. Now, they are checking unresolved missing persons cases looking for new leads in the case.

Dothan Police are also working with other law enforcement agencies checking their unsolved missing persons cases.

Missing Persons

Several people from the Wiregrass have disappeared over the years and are still officially listed as missing.

Here's a look at a few of them:

  • 26-year-old Geral Denise Walker was last seen in the parking lot of a Dothan bar in October of 1992

  • 52-year-old Wayne Bryan disappeared from this property near Enterprise in December of 1995

  • 17-year-old Kemberly Ramer was last seen at her father's home in Opp in August of 1997.

Rewards are still being offered in some of these cases.

Anyone with information about any of these people should contact the nearest law enforcement agency.
