A Dale County man convicted of killing an elderly Ozark woman will have to wait a while longer to learn his fate.
Judge Ken Quattlebaum has taken the case of 27-year-old Emanual Gissendaner under advisement and will sentence Gissendanner at a later date.
In August, jurors found Gissendanner guilty of the kidnapping and beating death of 77-year-old Margaret Snellgrove.
The victim disappeared in June of 2001 and her car was stolen.
Witnesses saw Gissendanner driving the vehicle and the woman's body was later found behind a pond near the suspect's home.
