Imagine your picture on a postage stamp, or maybe one of junior's finger-paintings.
Personalized stamps could help the post office balance its books. That's one of the recommendations from the President's Commission on the Future of the Postal Service.
Personalized stamps have been big hit in Canada, where they sell for more than twice the usual first class rate.
The panel is also calling on the post office to cut its work force while increasing automation, establish a pay-for-performance system and to make changes in its collective bargaining process.
The commission is scheduled to issue its final report by the end of the month.
