In a Geneva County courtroom Thursday, a probation hearing was postponed for Donald Ashley. A jury convicted him of eight counts of theft by deception in March.
Lashley and his wife, Amy Lashley, left a trail of debt following the opening of a Geneva teen club. Then the two suspects fled the area and became fugitives. They allegedly left a trail of bad checks and debt across the Southeast.
Amy pled guilty and is serving five years probation. Her husband has been sentenced to 20-years behind bars.
In an exclusive interview he told News 4 that he was sorry.
At this time, Lashley's probationary hearing hasn't been rescheduled. He is also awaiting prosecution in Arkansas and Tennessee.
