Ozark Scams

Ozark Police are looking for a female con-artist who took thousands of dollars from an elderly woman earlier this week.

The suspect convinced the victim to withdraw money from her bank, but the transaction was caught on tape by a security camera.

Police say the suspect is to be about five-feet-seven-inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds and about 30-years-old.

The suspect gave the woman an envelope that supposedly contained the cash she had just withdrawn then disappeared.

However, police say the packet was filled with "play" money and they're warning people to watch out for get-rich-quick-schemes.

If you have information in this case, you could make some money yourself. Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest. If you have information, call 334-774-9999.
