Eiffel Tower

There's a fire on one of the top floors of the Eiffel Tower. Officials in Paris say they're not sure if anyone is on the upper level where the fire appears to have erupted.

The fire appears to be limited to a top floor.

The company that operates the monument says it doesn't have any information about whether anyone may have been hurt.

The tower, more than a-thousand feet tall, draws six million visitors a year. It's the world's most popular paying tourist attraction.

It was built by Gustav Eiffel for the 1889 World's Fair.
