A trial date has been set for a Dothan man charged with capital murder in the death of an elderly woman.
Twenty-two-year-old Antonio Jones was arrested on New Year's Eve of 1999 while driving the victim's car.
Eighty-year-old Ruth Kirkland had been beaten to death in her home just a few hours earlier, and her Cadillac had been stolen.
Sources say DNA evidence links Jones to the crime.
The judge in the case has given attorneys until Oct. 21 to file any additional motions.
Jury selection is scheduled to begin Jan. 21.
