A local community is asking for your help to raise money for a Troy hit and run victim.
Kentazia Carter was struck by an SUV on West Fairview Street in Troy, Sunday night.
She was airlifted to the children’s Hospital in Birmingham and is in critical condition.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a sky blue, Ford Expedition with tinted windows, and a state of Alabama "Helping Schools" tag.
Her community is holding a benefit dinner to help pay for hospital bills.
Willene Calhoun is a friend of the Carter family. She said Thursday, “We're trying to help the family out. We’re asking everyone around to open their hearts to Kentazia because right now, she needs everybody."
The dinner will be held this Saturday at 11AM, at 115 Watkins Street in Troy.
