Vice President Dick Cheney was in Birmingham Monday night helping Republican Congressman Terry Everett of Enterprise raise money and get re-elected.
Cheney was the featured guest at the fund raising reception held at the Barber Motorsports Park.
The event was the first major fund raiser Everett has held as he prepares to run for his 7th term representing the 2nd Congressional District.
The event was held in Birmingham rather than in Everett's district because the location was more convenient for the vice president.
