A $275,000, class A pumper truck rolled into the New Brockton Fire Department last night.
It’s the first new truck the department has seen since 1971.
Fire Chief Gibby McCormick says the local city match is just a few thousand dollars.
A FEMA Homeland Security grant paid for the majority of the cost.
McCormick says besides New Brockton, the truck will be available for mutual assistance with surrounding communities.
