Durousseau Indicted

A Jacksonville, Florida grand jury has indicted a former cab driver on five counts of first-degree murder for a series of killings of young women. One of them, a native of northwest Florida.

Thirty-two-year-old Paul Durousseau also is accused of a sixth murder in Columbus, Georgia six years ago.

All five of the Jacksonville women were killed between December and February.

Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty.

Evidence in the case includes DNA matches with victims, matching fibers and cellular telephone records.

One of those victims, Shawanda McCalister had moved to Jacksonville about a year before she was killed. She graduated from Marianna High School in 2001 and was engaged to be married.
