Economic conditions have forced a local company to make a number of personnel cutbacks.
Dunbarton Door and Entry Systems employees told News 4 this morning that around 30 employees were let go this week.
The company released a statement saying the reduction is due to a slowdown in sales directly attributable to a downturn in residential and commercial building.
The statement added that employees being separated from the company will be eligible for severance pay, calculated on their length of service with Dunbarton.
Oscar Hughes, Dunbartons chief executive officer, said “our hearts go out to all of those affected by this action and we will provide assistance where we can.”
