Jackson County double-murder remains unsolved 20 years later

A prominent Jackson County couple was found slain in their Graceville mansion twenty-years-ago this week.

On January 29th 1989, Robert and Kathryn McRae were found dead inside their Graceville mansion. Each had been shot in the head with a small caliber weapon.

Authorities looked at similar murders in surrounding states.

Thousands of dollars in cash and valuables was not touched in the home. The only thing missing was an unusual diamond ring Mrs. McRae always wore.

Rewards of more than $100,000 are being offered for the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the McRae murders.
