The Houston County Courthouse not only got an outside makeover, it's getting one on the inside as well.
The state Administrative Office of the Courts has agreed to haul away old courthouse furniture and replace it with new.
But the county is expected to put up the initial cost.
In a written agreement, the AOC is required to reimburse Houston County for the cost of the furniture which is not to exceed $300,000.
Houston County commissioners have agreed to put off dedication of the courthouse until the new furnishings are in place.
