Around 4 p.m. May 19, 2002, flames swept through Shirley Beagell's home along Highway 90 in Bonifay.
Authorities would find Mrs. Beagell's body outside a bedroom. Her husband, Ed Beagell, had left shortly before the fire was reported.
Local authorities are still waiting on results by the state fire Marshall’s office.
Sharon Edelstein believes her 67-year-old mother died as the result of foul play.
The Holmes County Sheriff's Department continues its investigation into the case, evidence continues to be collected from many different areas.
Ms. Edelstein says the family has hired outside help to assist in the investigation.
