Labor Day wraps up the season for a popular area swimming and cave diving facility.
On any given weekend during the summer, several thousand people from Georgia, Florida and Alabama can be found at Blue Springs state park just outside Marianna, Florida.
The springs are fed by a natural underground aquifer. It's owned by the state but operated by Jackson County.
The revenue raised at Blue Springs goes back to the county.
With dry weather this summer and high gas prices, there's been a record numbers at the gate.
"Has been very little rain this summer, we've had a good turnout this year. Our biggest days would have to be Memorial Day weekend and 4th of July," said manager Darrel Mathis of Blue Springs Recreation.
The Blue Springs recreation area will officially reopen to the public during the 2007 Memorial Day weekend in May.
