Two weeks ago, Ozark struggled to finish its airport extension project due to a lack of money. Now, city leaders say they have the dollars needed to complete the project.
The Department of Transportation is giving the city over $2.7 million to pay for its runway extension.
Ozark Mayor Bob Bunting tells News 4, the extension should open the airport to commercial use and higher paying jobs.
Leaders say they hope to begin construction within a couple of weeks.
