Police are still trying to find out details of an accident that left 14 bicyclists injured in St. Petersburg, Florida.

According to witnesses, a vehicle crossed the centerline in a no-passing zone and struck the middle pack of the group of riders.

Police say the driver told them he was trying to pass a slow moving car.

The driver struck a group of about 25 to 30 people from the St. Petersburg Bicycle Club who were taking part in their weekly ride.

None of the bicyclists had life-threatening injuries.
