An independent candidate for the Coffee County coroner position in Enterprise says more than a dozen of his political signs have been vandalized.
Within the last few days, Enterprise Police Investigator, Lieutenant Corey Mason, has picked-up the signs, which have been defaced with either the word "pig" or a Nazi swastika.
Lieutenant Mason says the damage is not only disturbing, but it's expensive.
The candidate, who's in his first run for political office, says such behavior crosses the line.
"I understand that those who don't like me shouldn't vote for me in November as your coroner. But, to deface my signs, they are expensive, and I put a lot of time in putting them up, well, that's uncalled for," Lieutenant Mason said.
He asks if anyone has information on the vandalism to please contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
