Jurors Begin Deliberating in Doster Trial

Closing arguments were heard Thursday morning in the case of a Wiregrass jail escapee charged with capital murder.

Oscar Doster escaped from the Covington County Jail with three other inmates in November of 2002.

Paul Lemaster was shot to death in his mobile home near Gantt the next day.

Lemaster's pick-up truck was also stolen.

Doster and another inmate reportedly still had the truck when they were re-captured in Texas nearly two weeks later.

Testimony in the trial lasted more than a week.

Jurors began deliberating the case Thursday afternoon. At last report, there was still no verdict.
