A 49-year-old Clay County man who admitted killing four people at an Anniston video store has been sentenced to die by lethal injection.
Donald Ray Wheat was found guilty of capital murder late last month.
Wheat was convicted in the May 15th 2002 shooting deaths of Blockbuster store employees, 27-year-old Douglas Edward Neal and 23-year-old Austin Carl Joplin.
Also slain were two customers, 20-year-old Joseph Michael Burch and 19-year-old Andrew Burch who were brothers.
Wheat's two-state crime spree began in Bowdon, Georgia with the killing of a convenience store owner on May 10 2002 and ended with the killings in Anniston.
