City Approved 1.2 Million Dollar Appropriation for Road Work

Dothan city commission members voted to approve a 1.2 million dollar appropriation for road work at a continually troublesome intersection.

The money will go to improve the intersection at Fortner Street and Honeysuckle Road.

They are not sure about the total cost of the project, but acquiring the right away could cost up to 1.2 million dollars.

They are currently negotiating with land owners.

City Manager Mike West says he hopes the project will be completed in two years.
