They say the nine-year-old girl who was taken from her home in San Jose on Friday, and who turned up two days later at a convenience store, told police that a pepperoni pizza had been delivered to the house where she was held.
The San Jose police chief tells CBS that some computer records were provided to police by the owner of a nearby pizza store, and helped police track the order to David Cruz, who's now in custody.
The man who delivered the pizza says he also gave Cruz something else, a flier about the missing girl.
Lamar Cox tells ABC that the pizza store was passing out the flier with its deliveries, in hopes of helping to find the girl, and that he told Cruz to be on the lookout for her.
