A teen-ager will be arraigned Monday on capital murder charges in the shooting deaths of two Fayette police officers and a dispatcher.
District Attorney Chris McCool says 18-year-old Devan Darnel Moore of Jasper will be charged with capital murder in the slayings that happened about 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
As Moore was being booked at the Fayette Police Station, he allegedly grabbed an officer's gun and opened fire inside the small town police station killing two police officers and a dispatcher. Moore had been handcuffed, but the handcuffs had been removed to fingerprint him.
Moore fled in a police vehicle but was captured about three-and-one-half hours later in Mississippi.
He waived extradition and is now being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
The Alabama Bureau of Investigation in Tuscaloosa is heading the investigation.
