A NIP-IT group was recently formed in Geneva County. NIP-IT is a youth leadership team against tobacco.
The team consisting of several high school students went before the Geneva city council.
The organization is working on educating the public on the harmful effects of tobacco and would like to see Geneva pass a smoke free public place ordinance. Such laws are currently in effect in Dothan, Ozark and Troy.
"I joined it to tell teenagers about the dangers of smoking and tobacco products, because it can kill you," said Kacy Beard of Geneva County NIP-IT Team.
