Thanks to the efforts of four Dothan men, the Wiregrass Children's Home will soon have tens of thousand of dollars to help make a difference in the lives of local foster children.
The C-4 bikers, who rode across America for charity back in April of this year, donated a $12,000 check to the Wiregrass Children's Home.
The bikers helped raise about $100,000 of which they will donate $80,000 to the home.
They hope the money will help build a foundation to assist the home with annual expenses.
"It will be seed money to use for operating expenses and different needs of the home throughout the year,” said Joe Copeland. “We have about four different fundraisers, and we're trying to start a foundation so that we can use the arnings off of that to help offset expenses on an ongoing basis."
The group also hopes the foundation will grow and help fund construction of a new Wiregrass Children's Home in the near future.
