Players have 2 chances a week to hit the jackpot, the largest sum ever was 365 million dollars.

"We feel that Powerball will add millions more to the Education Fund. So far it has received a positive response from the public through E-Mails, letters, and phone calls." Says Jackie Barreiros

"I think its going to be exciting, something good that we should profit from. Do you think you'll win? Sure I do, Sure i do, I'm excited about it." Says Patricia Kendrick, a Powerball Player from Miami.

But Florida residents won't be the only ones participating, many expect Alabamians to cross the state line and take their shot at the jackpot.

"We have a lot of Alabama players and a lot of Florida players, It’s a situation- people sometimes want to spend a dollar here and there and take a chance to win millions of dollars." Says Ross.

The odds of winning a prize are one in 35. The odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 195 million.
