Ten fingers, ten toes and a gurgle that will warm your heart.
"I was little scared about the C-section but was excited about her being here and you know maybe being the New Year's baby," say proud parents Corina and Mark Sasser, welcomed baby Ashlynn Rheann Sasser into the world at 5:35 a.m. New Year morning at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Making her the first baby born in Dothan in 2009.
"I was excited for the New Years baby but I would never have guessed the first Wiregrass New Years baby," said Mark.
Corina's due date was January 5th but baby Ashlynn had other plans, letting her mom know she was ready to greet the world starting on Monday.
After a C-section New Year's morning, the Sassers were happy to finally have their new gift.
"I was just excited that she was just here and healthy, excited, just happy that we finally have her."
And so are sisters sierra and savanna, they already have plans for the little one.
The first baby boy born in Dothan in 2009 was at Flowers Hospital. He was born at 6:37 this morning.
