A Houston County man has been sentenced to more than 200 years in prison for sex crimes involving an underage girl.
Thirty-six-year-old Brian Pate pled guilty to ten counts of rape and two counts of sodomy. He was accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
Prosecutors say the attacks began last year while the victim's mother was in the hospital.
Judge Larry Anderson sentenced Pate to 240 years behind bars.
Pate also faces similar charges in Tennessee.
