Three people have been arrested for breaking into a church in Opp.
Police say 18-year-old Samuel Hone, 27-year-old Oscar Carter III, and a 17-year-old broke through a door at the church on Virginia Avenue Monday night.
Investigators say the trio stole several guitars and other musical equipment.
Right after the break-in, police say a church member came to look for some lost keys and noticed something wasn't right.
"I couldn't believe they stole the instruments we play for God. We've been playing music as part of our worship services for 35 years; nothing like this has ever happened," said Loretta Hornsby.
Opp police say they found other stolen items inside of suspect's house. They believe it'll clear up several additional burglary cases in Covington County.
