Enterprise is doing all it can to get more business to its downtown area during the holidays.
Enterprise city council members agreed to spend $35,000 for new Christmas decorations.
Area merchants have long complained that surrounding cities had more ornaments in the competitive retail environment.
Enterprise city councilman Paul Russell owns and operates two pharmacies.
"We’re trying to do things to spruce Enterprise up, get people in the mood to shop. Christmas is very important for a lot of retail business and downtown businesses."
Enterprise's historic downtown business district will have its Christmas decorations in place just after Thanksgiving.
