About 400 federal, state, and local officials are in Dothan participating in a disaster drill.
The exercise involves a truck filled with radioactive isotopes which overturns in Ashford.
High tech radiation detection equipment was flown in to make the drill more realistic.
The drill is a chance for Houston County to prepare for disaster related events in the future.
“It's a great privilege to have this exercise. It's not easy to come by and the training we get here we will really learn what's out there,” said Shelby Wommack of Houston Co. EMA.
The exercise continues through Thursday. Friday, each agency will be evaluated on how well they handled the drill.
