In 1992, then Enterprise resident and newspaper publisher, Terry Everett, announced his campaign for congress at the Yancey Parker Industrial Park in his hometown.
Today some 16-years later, Representative Everett attended a business announcement at the same site. For the eight-term republican, it gave Everett a time to look back at his career in the nation's capitol. Representative Everett says this will be one of his last public appearances while in office.
He "thanked" the residents of the 16 Wiregrass counties which comprise Alabama’s second congressional district.
Montgomery Mayor Bobby Bright will be sworn-in as the district's new congressman the first week in January.
