Florida Teachers Union

The Florida Education Association gave the state an "F" for failure to meet minimum standards in kindergarten through 12th grade in the areas of class size, school size, graduation rates and SAT scores.

The union gave the state a C - in the area of education spending. Gov. Jeb Bush's office calls it "brass-knuckles politics" on the part of the union.

The governor's office notes that the teachers' union has already endorsed Bill McBride to be the Democratic candidate for governor in November.
