Several property owners in the Dothan area may be forced to tidy their property.
A number of complaints have encouraged city commissioners to act on an already established state law.
The law would authorize the city to clean properties if the commission declares the properties as public nuisances
There are 13 properties that commissioners are focused on right now, and have tried to contact the owners with no luck.
A meeting in September will settle whether or not the properties are declared as "public nuisance."
If so, the city will clean the properties itself and place all charges on the property owner's tax bill.
